• In Quebec only, close to 13,000 children between the ages of 0 to 17 are currently in the care of the Centres jeunesse, whether in foster families or institutional facilities.

These children are placed by the Centres jeunesse because of some possible threat to their security or development. This potential harm may come from their environment: neglect, abandonment, physical or sexual abuse. But it may also stem from their own behaviour: criminal offences, running away from home, suicide attempts, drug abuse.

The Regroupement Un P'tit Coeur au Chaud tries to offer each of these youngsters a blanket carefully crafted by a member of their community.
